Hunter Douglas sheers & shadings are constructed using sheer curtains and opaque vanes. This combination creates unique sheer shades that provide superior light control options. The sheer curtains can be opened or closed to allow the sun’s full force through or provide gently filtered light. In addition, the vanes can be opened or closed to finely control the direction of the sunlight and how much is allowed into your home.

Privacy

The combination of elements that makes these sheer shades great for light control also helps with privacy. Even when the vanes are fully open, the sheer curtains still provide some privacy. The fabric selection for Hunter Douglas sheers and shadings includes several different weave densities so you can select the amount of privacy you desire. Of course, if you want more privacy, you can also close the vanes.

UV Protection

In addition to brightening and warming the interior of your home, UV rays from the sun can also cause damage. They can fade or discolor your furniture, walls, floors, and decor. You don’t have to worry with Hunter Douglas sheers and shadings because our sheer curtains have UV blocking power. We even offer ClearView™ Tapestry™ fabric that blocks UV rays and still provides an unobstructed view out your window.

Customization

We offer three different styles of Hunter Douglas sheers and shadings. Each type has over 60 different sheer curtain fabric options to choose from. You can select the opacity, hue, and pattern that works best for your interior design. The fabrics also overlap between the three sheer window shade styles, which allows you to mix and match the styles and still keep a unified aesthetic.

Operation Options

There are several ways to open and close your sheers and shadings. We offer standard cord loop operation, wand operation, cordless operation, and motorized options. You can even select PowerView® Automation which allows you to operate your sheer shades and other window treatments remotely via a smartphone app.

Additionally, depending on your chosen fabrics, the Silhouette® Window Shadings can block up to 88% of harmful UV rays to help keep your flooring and furniture from fading. You can also choose to add a room-darkening roller shade with the DuoLite® feature.

Pirouette® Window Shadings are crafted from curved fabric vanes attached to a single sheer curtain backing. These window sheers feature bold, modern colors that will make a statement in your home. The fabric selection for these sheer window shades includes options that block up to 81% of harmful UV rays, and with the vanes closed, you can block up to 99%.

Luminette® Privacy Sheers are an excellent option for sliding glass doors and expansive windows due to their vertical orientation. These sheer curtains move easily and silently along a top track, making adjusting them easy.
